WALES Summer 2009
In my summer holiday I went to Aberystwyth, Wales for a football tournament. My team and I stayed with three coaches in a local University. On the first day of the tournament the weather was cloudy and cold but that did not put us off. It was a very close game but in the end we won 1- 0 Yeah!! After the game we went back to the University and got some sleep.
Over the next four days we played 4 more league matches in the rain. Unfortunately, overall, we finished 4th. That meant we went in to the Plate semi-finals which we won 5-3!
Being through to the final was a dream come true for everyone. It was the day of the final and we were ready fortunately we had already played this team and beat them. The game was one of the hardest games we had played but we took the lead in the first half. In the second half they annoyingly came back to 1-1. The referee made some shocking decisions but we had to put up with it. Our keeper made a couple of outstanding saves that left us in the match. In the end it went to extra time which also ended in a draw so instead of going to penalties the team that scored first won which was US!
We were all so happy we were jumping around and singing. Later that day we went to collect our trophy and medals.

Your football team sounds really good and it sounds like you did a good job. I was invited to come to Wales for the team but we had other plans.
