Josh’s summer holiday

During my summer holiday my family and I went to Greece and South Africa.
First of all we went to Greece where our family live. We stayed there for three weeks where we spent playing rugby on the beaches which was great fun except when I bashed my teeth on my cousin’s head OUCH!!! We also went snorkelling and saw a moray eel. It was also great fun playing cricket on the beaches and building sand castles. We continued on to Athens after that. We stayed there for three days exploring the Acropolis and all the sweet shops. After that we came back to Dubai to see our dogs.

A week later we went to South Africa to stay at a beachside house in Sheffield. When we were there we did all sorts of great activities like muscling (where you take muscles off the rocks to eat.) we played cricket on the beach with our other cousin but there were rocks blocking the way and the waves were way too huge to swim in any way. We still had great fun at Sheffield.
We went to the game park where we tried to spot some Big 5 animals.

The big 5 are the 5 animals that are the biggest and the hardest to spot and we are aiming to see all of them. When we were there we first saw the buffalo and the elephant both from the big 5. The next day we saw WHITE LIONS!!! There are only two white lions in the wild currently and we saw both of them. White lions are born naturally to Tawney parents so they are very rare. We saw loads of animals. Every afternoon we played cricket before going on the evening game drive and stopping for sundowners.

After the game park we went to my grandpa’s farm and did target shooting practice

and we built a dam wall across the river but it didn’t stop the rapids. I had a great holiday.
