Claire's birthday recount

Over the holiday I went to Hong Kong for my birthday. we stayed in the renaissance Kowloon hotel.

I woke up at 9 o clock in the morning daddy had to sleep in the bed I kept coughing in at about 4:30 we got ready to go me and daddy had breakfast. Then we got ready to go I think we left at 10 o clock am. We took the train to get to Disneyland Hong Kong, it didn’t take that long to get there. When we got to sunny bay the inside of the train to Disney land was so cool it had a red carpet, yellow Mickey Mouse handles, Mickey Mouse windows and small statues of Disney characters in cases. When we got there it was so cool.

There were trees a big sign and flags going downwards with Disney characters on them we got our tickets and went into Disney land we had something to eat then I bought a hat. After that we went to tomorrow land [in Disney land] I went to the space adventure place with mum. It this really fun, it’s this game when you sit in this small cart that you can twist with this joystick and get this laser pointing gun you have to hit this target that says Z [stands for Zurg] you have to hit them to try and the power cells back.

After that me and mum went on space mountain the line for the ride was endless it took ages daddy was outside drinking some coke waiting for us. When me and mum finally got on the ride I took my cap of and put it in the pouch in front of me the ride started and it was filled with twists and turns, the ride was going super speedy. There was this one part where the was these lights and we were still going at the normal speed but the lights made it look like we were going at light speed. When the ride finished I felt funny by the sounds mum was making during the ride I bet she enjoyed it all I did was scream. We met daddy outside we asked if we could get the pictures taken of us during the ride he said yes I had a sip of coke. Daddy showed me a message that uncle Steve sent, it said : Is there a space mountain there. I sent him a reply that said : yes and I can still see flashes. Then a reply from uncle Steve that said : I love space mountain.
After that we went to get the photos from the roller coaster we got 4 small copies after that I went to this car place called Autopia. The line was like the space mountain line except a little shorter. The car I drove kept on going rickety but it was fun.

After all that it was almost 6 o clock before we left we visited Mickey mouse’s house. There were all sorts of things in his house in the kitchen there were huge cakes in his living room he had a huge arm chair. In his bedroom there was a huge bed and a big pair of shoes that I stood in. I said to daddy these are big thing for a mouse there was a line to take your picture with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse when I got my turn daddy took my picture with them. When we finished we went on our way out before we went completely out daddy took my picture with two plastic cactuses shaped like Goofy and Donald duck after that we got a printed picture with me Mickey and Minnie, A man gave me three stickers because I said : this is a great birthday. After that me and daddy went outside we found mum and carried on walking there was a parade with some of the Disney characters. There was MR Incredible, Ariel, and Stitch. I lost mum and dad for a minute I found them in a gift shop. Me and daddy bought some sweeties and I bought 2 t-shirts, mum bought a necklace. After that we went back to the hotel me and daddy’s legs hurted a lot, I barley had the strength to walk. My legs hurted for awhile when the pain went away for a while we went to have dinner, as soon as I started walking my legs started to hurt again. When we got to the restraunt my legs really hurt again. When we were getting our food I almost cried because my legs hurt so much. Daddy said it was because we didn’t have any salt in us after we ate we felt much better when we went back to the room me and daddy had 2 small chocolate cakes, we bought them before we got to the hotel. Mum didn’t have one after that I used daddy’s laptop for a while and went to sleep on the floor because the bed was making me cough so much dad asked for it to be taken away.
